​The Cisco 8841 IP Phone has a visually appealing design, and for Rich Technology Group, it is considered one of the top 3 phones in terms of design. It has a 5-inch high-resolution VGA backlit color display and ergonomic design, which makes it easy to use, and it is classified as a business-class phone by Cisco.

Regarding audio quality, the Cisco 8841 IP Phone has a standard wideband capable audio handset that uses HD Voice. The phone is also known for its renowned user experience, including the feel, sound quality, and display.

​The phone features typical function keys below the screen, including a navigational keypad for easy navigation and a selection button in the middle. It also has quick buttons for voicemail and phonebook and conferencing buttons for adding another person to the call or making a conference call. Audio buttons and volume keys are also conveniently located on the right side.

As a first impression, one notable security feature of the Cisco 8841 IP Phone is the activation code required for provisioning and profiling the phone. This allows the phone to connect to the appropriate provider's profile, such as Vonage, Nextiva, Dialpad, or any other, for seamless integration with the phone system. This feature enhances security and allows easy setup with different phone systems and providers, especially for semi-on-premise or hybrid systems.

​The back of the Cisco 8841 IP Phone has a DC/AC adaptor port, Ethernet LAN port for internet connectivity (with POE support), passthrough port, auxiliary port, RJ-9 headset port, and handset port for wired handset connection.

​However, it should be noted that the power cable and any additional mounts for the phone are not included in the box and need to be purchased separately. The phone can be connected with the included kickstand. However, it is positioned at a single angle as it only has one mount support on the kickstand.

​The Cisco 8841 IP desk phone is a 5-line programmable phone supporting up to 5 SIP accounts and POE (Power over Ethernet) capability. It also features a gigabit Ethernet passthrough. This phone offers multiple calls per line, third-party-hosted call control, and three-way conferencing. It boasts "Always on Reliability" and includes a full duplex speakerphone for clear communication.

​One of its notable features is the wideband audio support, including Cisco's HD Voice and audible dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) capability for added security. Cisco has a reputation for being a leader in security, with many customers using Cisco phones with their WebEx platform.

Apart from the features mentioned above, this phone also offers a range of calling features such as a busy lamp field, call forwarding, call filtering, call history list, call park, call timer, call waiting, direct transfer, conferencing calling, and call notifications.

Pros

• Cisco 8841 IP phone has a very elegant and sleek design, with the ability to change bezels based on preference. These bezels can be bought separately from Cisco’s official website.
• Cisco 8841 IP phone supports HD audio quality voice for crystal clear calling for speakerphone and handset.
• Cisco 8841 IP phone is extremely energy efficient. For small businesses and home offices, the energy consumption may be relatively small of a deal; however, it can be a huge cost factor for large-scale and enterprise-level businesses.

Cons

•  Cisco 8841 IP phone requires pre-activation with a code which can be difficult for beginners. Although it is implemented for security reasons, it can be problematic for people who don't use Cisco or WebEx internally. 
• CIsco 8841 does not include built in Bluetooth, but it does have an RJ9 port which allows for many available corded VOIP headset options.
  
• Cisco 8841 does not include wifi support, however it does have a gigabit passthrough and full POE support.
